First Nations Inclusion

We are committed to include the First Nations community with our business activities.

supply nation logo

GEG are members of Supply Nation. Supply Nation connects Indigenous businesses, along with procurement teams from government and corporate, to help shape the First Nations business sector. Supplier diversity is a growing movement in Australia and GEG are committed to creating a more inclusive economy.

Grosvenor Engineering Group is partnered with The University of Queensland  (UQ) to support scholarships for First Nations students. This initiative reflects our continued commitment towards reconciliation, driving positive social impact, and investing in a more inclusive future. This journey of education and empowerment aligns with our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) initiatives, aiming to bridge the educational divide for First Nations students transitioning from high school to university.

Reconciliation Action Plan

GEG implemented our first Reconciliation Action Plan- Reflect in 2023. This important step signifies our commitment to reconciliation with First Nations peoples. We understand that reconciliation is a continuous journey requiring consistent commitment and action. Implementing our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), our objective is to integrate principles of reconciliation deeply into our organisational culture and operations to ensure sustainable change. We are dedicated to shaping a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone.

First Nations Employment

We offer an inclusive work environment and encourage First Nations people to apply for positions within our organisation. Send your CV or apply for vacant positions advertised.

CONNECTIONS

This painting was created for GEG by Zachary Bennett-Brook, an award-winning First Nations artist. Zachary has captured the essence of our culture, values and the foundations GEG are built on into this modern First Nations artwork.

The large circular section in the middle reflects GEG’s beginnings as a family business based in Sydney.

The outer circles represent six areas of growth for GEG: 1) the growth of the company, 2) the growth in the number of our employees, 3) the growth of our brands, 4) the growth of our offices across ANZ, 5) the growth of our services and 6) the growth of the GEG family.

Our company values have been incorporated:

Safety – the connectivity throughout the artwork represents how we support each other to stay safe.

Agility  the affinity between traditional use of dots in the artwork and their representation of data embodies GEG’s foundation of Data Driven Solutions.

Balance – the synergy within the artwork reflects balance, something we encourage for all employees.

Partnerships – represented by the connected circles – we value partnerships with our people, clients, suppliers and communities in which we work.

The colours used within the artwork are the GEG brands main Blue and Green with a few little pops of both White and Grey to bring everything together.

Zachary Bennett-Brook was born in Wollongong NSW and is a proud First Nations man growing up in Wollongong (Dharawal Country).

Our Beginnings

Grosvenor Engineering Group began with three university friends who had studied engineering at the University of New South Wales, two of which are still Owners / Directors today – Nicholas Lianos and Peter Souflias.

Nicholas came across Grosvenor Air Conditioning, a company looking to sell its HVAC maintenance contracts and with his university friends they bought the contracts. In May 1994, the Grosvenor Group of companies began with a team of 13. Today we are a team of 800, with customers spanning across Australia and New Zealand.
